Chairman PBIT, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan Sb visited FPCCI regional office at Lahore where Vice President of the regional office, Mr. Abdul Rauf Mukhtar welcomed him along with his team. On this occasion, Mr. Iftikhar Ali Malik, Sr Vice President SAARC CCI, Manzoor Ul Haq Malik, Group Leader Sheikhupura Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Hameed Akhter Chadda, Sr. Leader UBG and FPCCI, Mrs. Shereen Irshad Khan, Vice President FPCCI, and representatives and leaders from more than 20 chambers, commerce and industries of Punjab were present there.
Mr. Abdul Rauf Mukhtar and Mr. Iftikhar Ali Malik gave suggestions to Chairman PBIT with respect to Government cooperation and requirements for the industries and Trade and export policies for trade, whereas Chairman PBIT assured them that Government will provide full support to them and will resolve their issues whether they are related to PRA, FBR, trade policy, export policy or any other area which is creating hurdle for them will be addressed on priority.
Chairman PBIT further said that they can access them any time and their doors are open for them round the clock and he assured them that he will keep on visiting them again and again will help them in every possible way and InshAllah in the near future, people will give example of PBIT. On that Occasion, President Sugar Mill & Ghee Mills Association also suggested some issues related to excise duties and sales taxes, whereas Chairman PBIT assured him that InshAllah with their cooperation and coordination they will try to resolve all of their issues and he further said that Government will work in close coordination with all the business communities and will try to resolve their issues.
Mrs. Sheeren Irshad Khan, Vice President FPCCI suggested that we should have one Women Special Economic Zone in Punjab, she also suggested that women entrepreneurs should be encouraged and should also be included in delegations visits to abroad, which Chairman PBIT appreciated very much and gave assurance that he will try to implement the same and at the same time said that he will discuss the proposal for special economic zone for women in Punjab with Chief Minister Punjab as well. Chairman PBIT further said that Chief Minister Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar is very keen for the business activity in Punjab as per the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan in which he wanted to boost the industry and specially agriculture sector’s trade with other countries.
