He was an advisor to Harvard Innovation Lab (2014 – Present) and he is currently the member of the “Forum for Growth & Innovation” that consists of a select group of academics and practitioners. Jahanzeb Burana completed his BSc from LUMS with honors in economics. He was awarded Gold Medal (National Management Foundation) by the President of Pakistan for achieving the highest GPA in Class of 2006.
He has vast experience in investment banking and financial heaping. He served in Bosna Bank International Sarajevo, Bosnia and presently a board member as well. He had been working with Islamic Development Bank group Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as a Senior Investment Specialist (Private Equity) before joining Punjab Board of Investment & Trade.
Jahanzeb Burana is also Co-founder and Managing Partner of JOMSTART Ventures, Malaysia which was the first-of-its-kind platform in Malaysia meant to bring together entrepreneurs, investors and mentors for incubating and funding (seed / series A) businesses in Malaysia.
He also worked as an Investment Associate at Portelet Holdings Singapore which is a clean tech and SME (Clean Energy, Technology, Healthcare, Services, Agribusiness) focused investment/fund management firm with offices in Singapore, Bombay and Zurich.
He also worked as Summer Associate at REDF (formerly Roberts’ Enterprise Development Fund) San Francisco.
Muhammad Haroon Shaukat
Chief Operatng Officer
Mr. Muhammad Haroon Shaukat, former Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey assumed his duties as Head of Turkey Cell in PBIT on 2nd March, 2015. He is currently working as Chief Operating Officer in PBIT. Proficient in multiple languages, Mr. Shaukat has rich experience in nurturing close economic and commercial cooperation with Turkish private and public sectors in diverse spheres, achieving concrete results.
Mr. Haroon Shaukat was a career diplomat before joining Punjab Board of Investment and Trade. He joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1978 and has wide experience in the diplomatic service having served in various Pakistan missions abroad including Paris, New York, Niger and Riyadh. Haroon Shaukat served as the Ambassador of Pakistan to Brazil 2006-2008 and was concurrently accredited as the Ambassador of Pakistan to Bolivia,Columbia,Paraguay, and Suriname.
Mr. Haroon Shaukat was Special Secretary with additional charge of Afghanistan and ECO in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad where earlier he served as Additional Foreign Secretary, Director General (South Asia) and Director General (United Nations). Mr. Haroon Shaukat holds a masters degree in English Literature from the University of Punjab, Lahore and a Post-Graduate diploma in International Political Relations from IIAP, Paris. He qualified, among others, the United Nations Peace Keeping Training Programme, Brindisi, Italy (2003) and the National Management Course at Pakistan Administrative Staff College, Lahore (2005).

Muhammad Sohail Qadri
Director of Projects and Policy Research
Muhammad Sohail Qadri is currently working as the Director of Projects and Policy Research and the Company Secretary of Punjab Board of Investment and Trade.
Mr. Qadri brings with him a diversified experience of more than thirteen (13) years in the public and private sectors. Prior to joining PBIT, he was heading the Business Planning & Strategic Initiatives Department at JS Investments Limited, the oldest and one of the largest asset management companies in the mutual fund industry in Pakistan.
His previous professional engagement include his services with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan as Deputy Director in the Specialized Companies Division and with the Education Department of the Government of Punjab as an Assistant Director of the Punjab Education Sector Reform Program (PESRP).
Mr. Qadri holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Commerce with majors in Finance from Hailey College of Commerce, University of the Punjab and is also an alumni of Forman Christian College, Lahore. He is also a certified member of the Institute of Capital Markets and has also attended various international training programs in areas of Investments, Pension Schemes and Management. He has also been an active member of various technical committees of the Mutual Fund Association of Pakistan (MUFAP) during the last four years.
Mr. Qadri`s is an avid reader and a sports enthusiast.
Dr. Suhail Saleem
Dr. Suhail Saleem has over 25 Years of experience in Corporate, Public and Social sector. He is Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, M.Phil (Rural Development). He has previously worked at Halla Dairy and served as Regional manager at Nestle Pakistan.
He also has experience of working in the social sector as consultant and Team leader at Plan International Pakistan for EU and ADB funded projects, worked as consultant/mentor at project of Oxfam GB for poverty alleviation and as National Program manager in SAPPL & GCO for USAID and British high commission funded projects.
Dr. Suhail has worked as master trainer for the Dairy Hub project of Tetra Pak as well. He is currently appointed as the Director – Projects with specialist experience in Agriculture, Livestock and Dairy development, Special Economic Zones and Industrial Estates.

Mr. Rashed Turabi is a specialist in start-up operations, turnarounds and high growth environments.
Having a proven track record in developing and implementing strategic plans and managing of diverse functions and constituencies. He has over 18 years of broad-based functional business experience in varied industries/sectors. Mr. Rashed has a proven ability to work with senior management team to integrate the human resource function within the overall business strategy.
He has demonstrated expertise in HR Strategic Issues Management, Training and Organizational Development, Compensation, Benefits Administration, Manpower Planning, Staffing, Employee Relations and Communication.
Colonel (Retd) Shaukat Hassan
Director–Administration, Finance & One window Facilitation
Colonel Shaukat Hassan (Retd) has served in Pakistan Army for 28 years. He has vast and versatile experience in the fields of Administration and Security, moreover has rich experience of handling foreign delegations.
After retirement from Army, the officer has served as General Manager in National Logistic Cell and has also served as Regional Manager, Sindh Region in Mari Petroleum Company at Daharki, the largest gas producing field of Pakistan. In recognition of his services in the Army, the Officer had been awarded Sitara–i-Imtiaz Military and Sitara-i-Basalat.
Ms. Fatima Ali Khan
Director -Marketing & PR
Ms. Fatima Ali Khan is an MBA from The Lahore School of Economics. She has extensive experience in the field of marketing and PR. She is an accomplished senior marketing professional with a broad experience in interactive marketing, media planning, event management, client communication and administrative responsibilities. She has worked for several key private institutions including Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lahore School of Economics, London Metropolitan University and Bayshore Home Health Canada.
Ms. Khan has been looking after the International Profile of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, She had an outstanding command over preparing and delivering detailed presentations to ambassadors on augmenting trade ties with Pakistan. She has served as the Head of Mediation Centre at LCCI, a project of the IFC World Bank Group. Having worked closely with the local businessmen, she has extensive knowledge of local business climate. Her expertise includes sectors of Iron and Steel, carpets, mines & minerals and pharmaceuticals amongst many others.
With a good set of skills in written and verbal communication, she has also served in the field of teaching at Convent of Jesus and Mary and National College of Business Administration & Economics.
Sharqui Ahmad Tipu

Harris Jamil Alam Khan

Mr. Harris Jamil Alam Khan comes with a diverse experience in Human Resources in both Local and International Markets, along with working for the Banking, FMCG, Public and the Private sector. Over the years he has handled various assignments across functions of Human Resources department, as well as, driving HR transformation initiatives across organisations that positively impact growth and performance. He has worked on policy, HR Operations, Compensations and Benefits and adoption of international best market practices to organisations. Mr. Harris has served in Coca-Cola UAE & Oman as both their HR business Partner and their compensations and benefits manager, He has handled regional HR portfolio in the Banking industry, as well as, contributed to business in terms of strategy and remodelling of operations.
Muhammad Ammar Saeed

Muhammad Ammar Saeed has a professional experience of more than seven years, holding positions of Marketing and Financial analyst, Manager Marketing & Business development. Prime focus in his professional career has been Marketing, Finance and Business Development. He has done BBA (Hons) in Economics & Finance, MBA in Marketing & Finance.

Sidra Khan is an economic analyst with over 9 years of experience in socio-economic research, business regulations, policy, advocacy and investment and trade matchmaking.
She had previously been working for the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry as a Senior Economist. She completed her Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on USAID’s Scholarship.

Rana Waqas is a financial planner with 11 years of experience in Banking, Financial and Management Consulting industries. Rana Waqas is a “Solution Seller”, who is helping clients to resolve their business issues with effective recommendations.
He has worked with renowned organizations like Standard Chartered Bank, United Bank Limited and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank in the GCC region. Rana led multiple teams in Sales, Consulted SME and Emerging Corporates for the arrangements of debt funding, worked in the global spectrum to execute transactions across multiple countries and industries like Energy and Soft Commodities, Manufacturing, Building Material, Telecom and Real Estate, specialized in providing the solutions related to working capital, project finance and debt restructuring.
