PBIT facilitates deal between Government of Punjab and Shandong

A memorandum of agreement was signed today at PBIT’s office between Industries, Commerce and Investment Department, Government of Punjab and Administration Committee of the National Linyi Economic and Technology Development Area, Shandong, China.
According to this agreement, Linyi will join hands with Industries Department to establish a 1500 acre industrial estate in Lahore. Government of Punjab will procure land for the estate.
The establishment of such estates will promote industrialization in the province of Punjab and facilitate the industrialists for investment in Industrial Estates along with creating thousands of jobs.
This industrial estate will focus on Engineering/Manufacturing Goods, Heavy machinery, Telecom Sector, Mechanical, Plastic, Pharmaceutical, Textile Industry, Medicines, Fertilizer/Pesticides and Packaging.
Government of Punjab and the Administration Committee of the National Linyi Economic and Technology Development Area also agreed to organize events, trade fairs and exchange delegations and participate in such events organized by each other. Both parties also agreed to generate investment leads and share information on the opportunities, specifically in sectors identified. The governments also agreed to organize matchmaking meetings and seminars with the aim to facilitate speedy industrialization and related activities.
Through similar multiple efforts, PBIT is working to ensure a Prosperous Punjab.
