Senior Management Wing of NIPA visits PBIT

A group of senior BS-19 officers from 21stSenior Management course of National Management College (former NIPA) visited Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT)for a field trip to familiarize with the working of the organization and its role in promoting investments in Punjab.

The CEO, PBIT Muhammad Haroon Shaukat welcomed the delegation and meeting started with exchange of pleasantries and formal introduction.

Participants discussed China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in detail and how it will change economic horizon in the region. Muhammad Haroon Shaukat told the delegation that how Pakistan will benefit from this opportunity. China Pakistan Economic Corridor is a journey towards economic regionalization in the globalized world, he said. CEO PBIT explained that CPEC will not only benefit China and Pakistan but will have positive impact on other countries of the region.The investment will transform Pakistan into a regional economic hub. The corridor is a confidence booster for investors and is attracting investments not only from China but from the other parts of the world as well.

Mr. Haroon Shaukat, CEO Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) along with the other team members gave an overview of the organization. Success stories of PBIT were also shared with distinguished guests while a documentary was also showcased for the delegation for a better understanding about business and trade opportunities. Director Projects and Policy Research of PBIT gave a detailed presentation regarding operations and activities of PBIT and its role in promoting and showcasing investment opportunities in Punjab.

The participants actively engaged and contributed in the interactive session and elaborate discussions were held during the Q&A session. The meeting concluded with appreciative gestures from the delegation.
