PBIT facilitates Tatarstan and Chinese Delegation for the promotion of mutual investment and trade

Tatarstan Deputy Minister Industries and Trade, and a high level Chinese Delegation visited Punjab Board of Investment and Trade and met with senior officials to discuss business and investment opportunities in Punjab.

Deputy Minister from the Tatar Ministry of Industries & Trade, Denis Valeevduring his visit met with representatives of five Pakistani companies from different sectors to discuss and explore business opportunities. Pakistani companies, Sultan &Kamil (Agri-Auto Industry), Shafiq Automotive Industries (Auto Parts), Ravi Cables (Cables and wiring), Fresh Pack Company (Food Processing) and Technology International (Health, Food), offered Tatarstan Deputy Minister to export their products to facilitate the consumers in Tatarstan.

After the comprehensive meeting session Deputy Minister showed immense interest in auto spare parts, specifically filters and radiators. He requested Pakistani companies to share their product information for his local businessmen, in order to identify the market potential. Hence, Marketing materials were exchanged and the Tatar representative promised to return with positive responses for the collaboration in concerned businesses.

In an another meeting, Chinese Delegation comprising of ten members headed by Zhou Min, Vice Chairman Yantai City Federation of Industry and Commerce)discussed areas of mutualcooperation for promotion of trade and investment  between two countries.

Chinese delegation stated that they are looking for local partners in Pakistan and want to invest in different sectors such as food processing, machinery, construction, real estate and commercial area. The delegate further elaborated that one company wants to invest for Beef and fruit processing and get land in Punjab for processing unit whereas the other company of hi-tech machinery wants to invest in machinery and participate in trade show being organized in Pakistan in August regarding machinery & automotive parts. Similarly, the other companies of key areas like construction, electro-equipment and housing also showed their interest to invest in Punjab.

Senior PBIT officials stated that Punjab Board of Investment & Trade is always available to facilitate FDI. Details of SEZ incentives & policy framework were shared with Chinese delegation. PBIT officials assured that the distinguished shareholders will be assisted according to their areas and interest.
