Consul General Mr. YuriyFedkiw accompanied by U.S. Commercial Counselor Mr. Steve Knode visited Punjab Board of Investment and Trade on Tuesday 16 May, 2017. CEO PBIT along with other senior officials received the delegation.
The high powered meeting focused on the bilateral trade between Pakistan and the United States of America. PBIT team apprised the Consul General about the workings and functions of PBIT through a brief documentary. He was also briefed about the guidance and technical support provided by PBIT to the local and Foreign investors. The CEO, PBIT emphasized and proposed to make investments in different sectors of Punjab which will benefit both countries substantially.
US Consul General also appreciated Punjab Government’s initiatives regarding investment friendly environment. He said that I am inspired by your work and look forward to work closely with you in the years ahead to promote even stronger economic ties between US and Pakistan.
CEO told that PBIT is organizing a mega event to attract foreign investors in Punjab. The International Seminar on Business Opportunities in Punjab will introduce Punjab as an investment hub. U.S. Consulate showed their keen interest in participating on this event and ripe the opportunities going to be displayed during this occasion.
