A delegation comprising of probationary officers from Trade & Commerce Group of Civil Service of Pakistan visited Punjab Board of Investment & Trade. The delegation was received by Mr. Haroon Shaukat, Chief Operating Officer-PBIT. In his discussion with the officers, COO-PBIT highlighted the importance of trade and commerce activities and role of officers in negotiating better deals, profits and bringing industry to Pakistan. Highlighting the role of PBIT in current economic condition, Mr. Haroon shared his personal views regarding investment promotion and investment facilitation by PBIT.
Till date, PBIT has facilitated several businesses along with the identification of various new business opportunities in Punjab. Development of product specific business pitchbooks §or studies, establishment of special economic zones, simplification of processes and policy advocacy are top tasks which PBIT perform. The PITAD officers from 26th STP would pass-out in January-2020. Visit to PBIT provided them an opportunity to explore the basic working of the premier Investment Promotion Agency of Punjab.
